Directions
The Institute of Aircraft Propulsion Systems of the University of Stuttgart is located on Campus Vaihingen. You can easily get there via public transport or by car.
By car
Exit the autobahn A8 (Munich – Karlsruhe) at the junction “Stuttgart-Vaihingen” towards” Stuttgart”. The second exit” Universität” directly leads to campus. Follow the roadsigns until you reach “Pfaffenwaldring”.
By train
Take a train to Stuttgart Main Station.
A cab ride from Stuttgart Main Station to University Campus Vaihingen costs approximately 30 €.
The S-Bahn lines S1(to Herrenberg), S2(to Filderstadt or Stuttgart-Vaihingen), and S3(to Flughafen/Messe) run regularly from Stuttgart Main Station, track 101 to Campus Vaihingen. Exit at “Universität”, the fourth stop after Stuttgart Main Station. Exit the S-Bahn station towards “Universitätszentrum” and take the path leading directly away from the stairs. As soon as you see a large parking area on your righthand side, cross the parking lot in that direction until you arrive at “Pfaffenwaldring”. Our institute has the number 6. By plane
Fly to Stuttgart Airport (STR).
A cab ride from Stuttgart Airport to University Campus Vaihingen costs approximately 30€.
All S-Bahn lines from Stuttgart Airport stop at “Universität”. Exit here and then please follow the directions describes above to reach the institute.
